The World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF) Chongqing Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit 2016 was successfully held in Chongqing on September 19 –21. About 400 guests from 89 cities and 47 institutions and representatives from 6 international organizations attended this year’s summit.IMG_5561

Mr. Wang Anshun, Chairman of the WTCF Council & Mayor of Beijing Municipal Government, Mr. Huang Qifan, Mayor of Chongqing Municipal Government, Mr. Du Jiang, Vice Chairman of China National Tourism Administration(CNTA), Mr. Tegegnework Gettu, Deputy Secretary of the United Nations, Dr. Mario Hardy, Chief Executive Officer of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), Ms. Pansy Ho, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the World Tourism Economic Forum, Mr.Xu Jing, Director-Executive Secretary of the General Assembly and the Executive Council etc. attended and gave speeches at the summit respectively. Chongqing Declaration of World Tourism Cities Federation was released during the General Assembly, encouraging tourism cities actively introducing the concept of sharing economic development, to make greater contributions on promoting the sustainable development of tourism in the world.

During the summit, an initiation ceremony was held for newly joint WTCF city members and institutional members. Ivy Alliance Tourism Consulting, with Airbnb, Innova TexFree Group, tuniu.com etc. , formally joined in WTCF, also was selected as a council member of the Committee of Tourism-Related Businesses. Institutional Members of WTCF are composed of the well-known enterprises with certain influence and good brand image in the international tourism.
